Good Girls Give

Helping to spread joy by giving individuals with severe disabilities the chance to receive their very own dream day!

Wand-waving fairy godmothers and wish-granting genies may only exist in children’s tales, but kind-hearted individuals who want to make dreams come true do exist in reality, and in Los Angeles!

Good Girls Give®, a non-profit 501(c) (3), was founded in 2009 by Laurie Green after learning her long-lost friend was suffering with Locked-In Syndrome, unable to walk or talk for himself. Laurie set out to improve his quality of life by raising funds to make possible some of the daily basics in life we so often take for granted. With the contributions of generous donors, Good Girls Give® was able to donate expensive equipment that enabled him to communicate and pay for physical training that insurance would not cover. But when Good Girls Give® also arranged for this former high school baseball champion to watch his two young children throw out the first pitch from the field at Dodgers Stadium, it was her friend’s joy and elation from this “dream day” that set the course of the charity’s future. Good Girls Give® has not stopped with one individual; instead it has evolved and expanded into a non-profit organization whose mission is to help spread joy by giving individuals with severe disabilities the chance to receive their very own Dream Day.

Los Angeles residents with a severe disability are encouraged to submit their personal story, along with a description of what their Dream Day would be. Please include a photo along with a note from a doctor stating your condition. Family members and friends are also welcome to nominate individuals in a short video. Maybe it’s a trip to Disneyland or the Grand Canyon? How about an all-you-can-eat frozen yogurt party for their entire classroom? Some dreams may be more difficult to fulfill but Good Girls Give® will do its best to make your dreams come true! And as the charity grows, so with it your dreams will grow too!

Under the direction of the Board of Directors, GOOD GIRLS GIVE® retains complete control over the use and distribution of donated funds in furtherance of its mission.

A portion of every donation covers gift administration fees.
